So it turns out author of Harry Potter and Casual Vacancy, J.K. Rowling has done a bit of clandestine magic: she is mystery/crime writer Robert Galbraith — or at least that has been her pseudonym in publishing The Cuckoo’s Calling published April 2013. Of course, as you might already know, the news is out.
Said Rowling: “I had hoped to keep this secret a little longer because being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience. It has been wonderful to publish without hype or expectation and pure pleasure to get feedback under a different name.”
The Cuckoo’s Calling instantly shot up bestseller charts, following the big reveal — even our own copies at Fully Booked have already been purchased. But we’d like to assure you that new copies of the Robert Galbraith (or should we say “Rowling”?) mystery novel are on the way to Fully Booked.
So keep posted, and pay us a visit soon if you’d like to get your hands on The Cuckoo’s Calling!
