Happy new year, friends and blog readers!

This 2014, we’re really exited to celebrate the excitement and romance of the printed page by shining the light on your favorite books. To do that, we’ve come up with a new type of feature on the blog:

Those of us running the blog have become fans of a blog called Humans of New York, which has built a name for itself by giving thoughtful glimpses into the lives of real New Yorkers (btw, there’s a book, too!). And as an homage to HoNY, we’ve come up with ‘Humans of Fully Booked’, which aims to shine the light on the Fully Booked reading community and the books we are reading.

So, let’s get started shall we?

"Do you have a favorite book?" "It's a tough call..." "We read a lot of the books in the philosophy section." "Brothers by Yu Hua." "Brothers Karamazov." "We met in college. We used to be block mates in political science. Now he's taking his masters and I'm graduating this March." "How come you both like brother books? Are you like brothers?" "Blockmates..." "Intellectual sparing here and there." "If there was a book called 'Blockmates' we'd probably choose that"
