We’re continuing our series of Free Comic Book Day 2014 sneak peeks. We’ve already shared our picks for the cool kids out there as well as a list of what we predict will be the heavyweight titles in high demand. Today, we are talking about the comics that are all about a good time, titles that young and old fans alike can enjoy. We’ve especially kept in mind those who may have never gotten into comics before; maybe this can be the start of something good! So… presenting our Big Time Fun list:

1. Megaman & Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic Megaman

Archie Comics publications brings us double trouble with two of video gaming’s most legendary characters in a two-cover special!

Hot off the heels of the ultra-successful Sonic/Mega Man crossover event, “Worlds Collide”, comes a showcase issue of the hottest new storylines in both characters’ universes—exclusively for Free Comic Book Day! Sonic stars in “Blast to the Past” and the origin of his Freedom Fighters! Then, on the flipside of this issue, get ready for the “Mega Man X” crossover event with this primer story! (Taken from FreeComicBookDay.com)

2. Steam Wars

Steam Wars

“Not so long ago, in a galaxy relatively close by began an epic struggle on a world seized in the grip of an evil Victorian empire. Only a ragged alliance of rebels oppose the emperor and his black guard, but hope is fading.” It all sounds familiar, doesn’t it? That’s because it is familiar. This is Star Wars… but it is also steam punk. A mashup of two well-loved genres that speak of a dystopian future, but in very different ways—it’s almost too cool to be true!

3. Teen Titans Go

DC Nation

Based on Cartoon Network’s DC Nation Saturday morning programming, this is a great introduction to the series. Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven and massive pizza monsters—get ready for some mayhem!

4. Atomic Robo

Atomic Robo

Atomic Robo is the perfect initiation for comic newbies:

“Unanimously heralded by fans, creators, retailers and critics as the perfect first comic to give to a non-comic-reader. ATOMIC ROBO has defeated the greatest foes of the last century, but his latest discovery has reduced him to a mere play thing for the Yonkers Devil.” (Taken from FreeComicBookDay.com)

5. The Adventures of Jellaby

Jellaby

This one follows the story of a ten year-old girl and her beloved purple monster, Jellaby. An award-winning series, the Jellaby FCBD edition features two stories of adventure set in the great outdoors, as well as a whole lot of bonus material, too!

6. Buck Rogers of the 25th Century

Buck Rogers

The original sci-fi comic book hero, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century first released in 1929. Now, we have a re-print of a complete Sunday story, but digitally reconstructed to the point that it surpasses the quality of the original! A must-own for the vintage vultures and retro-heads among you!

7. Les Miserables: The Fall of Fantine

Les Miz

Victor Hugo’s masterpiece comes to life on the printed page in a unique graphic novel incarnation. This Udon issue comes in Manga fashion and format (5.25″ x 8.25″), bringing a timeless story to a new audience and subculture.
