@gallifreyreads: These are my top 11 reads so far this year (not counting ebooks… & Isla and the Happily Ever After should be on this list but it’s not with me anymore). – One thing in common I realized about these books is that they are all contemporary! They show the pain and the joy of being a teenager or a young adult! I definitely recommend these ☺️

@meanjakid: Recommending this 10 books to young Filipino readers out there, especially those who are just growing the habit. First, at the bottom row, if you notice, all the books are by our local authors. Filipino writers have so much to offer. I have nothing against readers who favor foreign books, but please let us give our homegrown talents a chance. My favorite author Edgar Calabia Samar currently has YA novel out, called Janus Silang. I have heard lot of good reviews. It is from Adarna House #fangirlplugging. You might start with this book. For the upper row, you see these are all foreign books. I think this row shows how my taste has matured over the years. I can really be promiscuous , yeah from Children’s lit to Erotica! I hope you find my choices interesting. Read as much as you can! Enjoy.
