Valerie Chua is conducting basic watercolor intensive workshops in Fully Booked’s School of Fun Things. Learn how to render flowers that exude gentleness and whimsy with an artist who has already showcased her work in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, and across different galleries in Manila. This class is suitable for beginners or for those who have already gone through a beginner’s watercolor workshop.
There will be two batches:
May 9, 2015 (Saturday) 11AM to 3PM at Fully Booked Greenbelt 5
May 23 (Saturday) 10AM to 2PM at Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street
Workshop fee: 4000 Php inclusive of quality watercolor paper sheets, a set watercolor cakes, 3 round brushes (#2, #6, #10), 1 flat brush (#20), and snacks
The class ideally runs for 4 hours but may extend an for extra 30 minutes depending on the pace of the students.
A maximum of 10 students will be accommodated in each class to ensure that Valerie can closely monitor one’s progress.

About Valerie Chua
Valerie Chua is a visual artist and art instructor from South East Asia who specializes in traditional water-based media. Valerie grew up with Western graphic novels and Japanese manga and only started painting at the age of 20. Her work is predominantly influenced by East Asian watercolor artists, nature, and magical realism literature and poetry. Some of her clients include: Keds, Clinique, Lenovo, Garage Magazine, Rogue Magazine, Designare Magazine Singapore, Crested Tees USA, SK-II, and Christian Louboutin (Asia).
