Last Friday, February 24, twelve chosen artists and two wild cards from the audience battled it out to become the first ever champion of Art Battle Manila!

For each paint-splattered round, the artists had only 20 minutes to put their creativity on canvas before the audience votes for the winners.

The first artists chosen for battle are Reen Barrera, Jerico Torres, Elyssa Francisco, Jo Bautista, Jappy Agoncillo, and Ska Barayuga — with Jerico and Ska hailed as the winners.

Next up are Madelaine H. Callanta, Jan Fresco, Camille Chua, Ranilo Garbo Jr., RC Camarines, and Rydel Arayata – Jan and RC got the audience’s votes.

In the final round, Jerico, Ska, Jan, and RC took up easels with the two Wild Card participants chosen from the audience, Lance Tan and Kathleen Denise Sevilla.

Congratulations to the Art Battle Champion Jan Fresco, who won premium art goodies from Royal Talens and Tokyo Finds, Lonely Planet‘s upcoming title Street Art, Php 10,000 worth of Fully Booked GCs, and Php 5,000 in cash!

Congratulations as well to the two runners-up Jerico Torres and RC Camarines, and all the artists who brought their A-game to the art battlefield! Each artist who competed received a Swag Bag which included Art Plus Magazine, a Fully Booked GC worth Php 1,000, and a variety of art materials from Royal Talens, Sakura, Daniel Smith, and Gamblin.

A big special thank you to Fringe Manila and everyone who made Art Battle happen: Royal Talens, Daniel Smith, Sakura, Tokyo Finds, Art Plus Magazine, and Berkeley. Find these and more of your art needs at select Fully Booked branches.
