We’re bringing back the fabulous mind behind the Crazy Rich trilogy, which follows the riveting family drama of the Young-Shang-T’sien clan from Singapore and Shanghai, to London and Palawan, to the rest of the world.

Back in August 2015, Kevin Kwan visited the Philippines for the Crazy Rich-China Rich Book Tour. He met his fans and signed books at Fully Booked stores in Bonifacio High Street and Alabang Town Center. He also had a private dinner and a send-off party (thanks to Asia Society!) before jetting off to Palawan with his friends for some much-deserved R&R. He loved it there so much that he included this paradise-on-earth in a scene in Rich People Problems, the third and final book in his series.

Rich People Problems was just released last May 23, 2017, and it’s already made its way to bestseller lists all over the world. It follows China Rich Girlfriend (2015)which takes us into the secrets and scandals of Mainland China’s elite, and Crazy Rich Asians (2013), the story that started it all. To top it all off, the movie adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians just wrapped up last June — we can’t wait to see Kevin’s glamorous world brought to life on the big screen!

Kevin Kwan was born and raised in Singapore, where he attended Anglo-Chinese School in the mornings and spent his afternoons either hiding from his Chinese tutor or chasing after neighborhood dogs on his bike. When he was eleven, he moved to the United States, where the next few years were a blur of trying to survive high school, reading too much F. Scott Fitzgerald and Joan Didion, and dreaming of living in New York. He now resides in Manhattan, eats too much pasta, and these days dreams of living in Italy.
